Children's Liturgy of the Word

During Mass at St Rose, (Saturday at 5 pm and Sunday at 8 am and 11 am), children are escorted after the opening prayer to a designated area in the Church. We discuss the readings of the week at a level that is appropriate for their age. They discover how these words relate to their own life situations. After Liturgy of the Word, children are escorted back to the church where they join their families and continue in the celebration of the Mass with the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

This program is offered for all children in Kindergarten through third grade. Recognizing that parents are the first and best teachers of the faith, we offer supplemental materials on the readings of the week for our children and parents each week.

Volunteers are always needed to help with this valuable program.
