Youth Faith Formation

A.C.T.S. Core Team Member

The A.C.T.S. Core Team Member assists in providing an engaging program of catechesis for youth in grades six through eight. The Core Team member facilitates small group discussions and other activities related to the topic of the evening, may offer his/her personal witness on topics under discussion and may, from time to time, offer teaching on a particular subject. Core Team members meet two Thursday nights each month for team formation and planning.

BEHOLD! Core Member

A BEHOLD! Core Member assists in providing an engaging catechetical program for high school teens. The BEHOLD! program leads teens into a relationship with Jesus and His Church. Core Team members attend sessions and serve as a model by active participation. Core Team members present a BEHOLD! Session on Sunday evenings. Some Core Team members will take part in the retreats throughout the year and meet two Thursday nights each month for team formation and planning

RE Lead Teachers

Lead RE Teachers prepare and conduct lessons for children for their grade level with a teacher’s manual, syllabus and other resources provided. Lead Teachers are persons of Faith who love children and have a desire to help them grow in their relationship with God and in their appreciation of their Catholic heritage.

RE Class Assistants

RE Class Assistants work under the supervision of Lead Teachers. They help conduct the lesson and also with attendance and other paperwork.

RE Substitute Teachers

Substitute RE Teachers fill in for Lead Teachers or Class Assistants who cannot be present for a particular class day. Pre-planned lesson materials are provided.

Sacrament Preparation Programs

Volunteers who offer to assist with First Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Eucharist preparation are responsible for helping to prepare children and youth to receive the Sacraments of the Church.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School Volunteers are able to volunteer in a number of capacities during the second week of June when Vacation Bible School is offered. Adult group leaders facilitate the programs activities and events with groups of about 12 children during that week. Creative people who can design and create an environment that compliments the annual theme are needed. Teen volunteers help with arts and crafts activities, as well as snacks and games. Planning sessions take place between February and June.
