Welcome to St. Rose Philippine Duchesne

My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Welcome to St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic Community. We are “A Welcoming and Joyful Community committed to making Disciples by igniting and strengthening Faith in Christ and the Celebration of God’s Grace.”

We strive to live every day as faithful disciples of the Lord and good stewards of His gifts. Proclaiming the Gospel message is not just the task of the priests, deacons, or staff alone. It is a collaborative effort of everyone in the parish sharing their gifts, talents, and Christ-like love. We are blessed to have almost fifty opportunities to participate in Sacraments, Pastoral Care, Fellowship and Ministry activities that reflect God’s love and work. We’d love for you to join us as we work to bring the Good News to our neighborhoods and the world.

Join us as we work to bring the Good News to our neighborhoods and the world

We invite you to join us in receiving, and giving, all these gifts organized around our Parish’s four seasons of Stewardship: Stewardship of Giving, Stewardship of Praying, Stewardship of Serving and Stewardship of Forming.

This booklet will give you an idea of many of the ways that St Rose welcomes and evangelizes through the Sacraments, through Pastoral Care, through Fellowship and through Ministries. We invite you to join us in receiving, and giving, all these gifts. It’s organized around our Parish’s four seasons of Stewardship: Stewardship of Giving, Stewardship of Praying, Stewardship of Serving and Stewardship of Forming. In programs where parishioner’s assistance is required, we’ve highlighted these Ministry Opportunities by enclosing them in a box.

We believe that God has something extraordinary planned for your life. We just need to ‘allow God’. As St. Ignatius of Loyola said, “Few souls understand what God would accomplish in them if they were to abandon themselves unreservedly to Him and if they were to allow His grace to mold them accordingly.”

The Journey to God’s heart begins when we step out of our comfort zone, walk the extra mile, go into the deep (‘duc in altum’), and journey the road less traveled. Allow us to journey with you in faith; allow us to bring the joy of God’s presence into your family. And together, if we joyfully learn to leave everything in God’s hand, we will eventually discover God’s hand in everything.

Be in God,
Fr. Bing Colasito
